The 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, organized by Grand Prix International Public Company Limited, concluded successfully under the theme “The ICONIC SYNCHRONICITY,” reflecting seamless mobility and innovation. Held amid ongoing global energy volatility driven by unrest in the Middle East, the event nonetheless attracted strong interest from both consumers and automotive industry stakeholders. Throughout the exhibition period, the show generated a total of 132,951 vehicle bookings and 2,056 motorcycle bookings, while welcoming 1,798,312 visitors. These figures reflect a steady recovery in purchasing power and growing market confidence, underscoring the resilience and continued momentum of Thailand’s automotive industry.
Mr. Jaturont Komolmis, Vice Chairman of the 47th Bangkok International Motor Show, stated: “Despite the ongoing economic volatility in Thailand and geopolitical tensions, the Bangkok International Motor Show continues to serve as a key platform in supporting and driving the Thai automotive industry. For more than four decades, the event has consistently demonstrated its potential and importance to the sector.”
He further highlighted that a key trend at this year’s event was the expansion of the electric vehicle (EV) segment, with leading automotive brands from both Asia and Europe introducing new technologies and innovations. This has significantly broadened consumer choices. At the same time, internal combustion engine vehicles continue to attract strong interest, particularly in the SUV and pickup truck segments, which remain highly relevant for practical, everyday use. “The success of this year’s event is not measured solely by the number of bookings, but also by its role as a ‘platform’ that connects manufacturers, distributors, and consumers. More importantly, it contributes to driving Thailand’s automotive industry toward a tangible transition into the new energy era,” he concluded.
In addition, the event featured a wide range of sales promotions, special offers, and test drive activities, all of which effectively supported consumer decision-making. It also showcased advancements in safety technologies, intelligent driver assistance systems, and future mobility solutions, providing visitors with a comprehensive view of the evolving automotive landscape. Overall, this year’s event marks another significant milestone that reflects the direction of Thailand’s automotive industry as it transitions across multiple dimensions—including technology, consumer behavior, and market structure. The Bangkok International Motor Show continues to serve as a key platform in driving progress and generating momentum for the sustainable development of the country’s automotive ecosystem.
